COVID-19 Vaccine Confidence

The GUCEDD received funding for two projects increasing COVID-19 vaccine confidence for persons with disabilities living in the District of Columbia. The funding and support are from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and administered through the Association of University Centers on Disabilities and the Administration for Community Living.


Complex Moral Issues: End-of-Life Decisions for Adults with Significant Intellectual Disabilities

 A website devoted to guardians who have been given the responsibility to make decisions on behalf of people who have never been able to express their intentions about end-of-life care and life-sustaining treatments due to the extent of their cognitive disability and concomitant restrictions upon their ability to communicate abstract and complex messages.

Embedding Cultural Diversity and Cultural and Linguistic Competence

Georgetown University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (GUCEDD) and the UCEDDs at Georgia State University and the University of Southern California, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles launched the Embedding Cultural Diversity and Cultural and Linguistic Competence: A Guide for UCEDD Curricula and Training Activities Project.


DDA Health Initiative

The District of Columbia DDA Health Initiative, a partnership between the DC Department on Disability Services (DDS)/Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) and the Georgetown University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) provides resources and education to people with disabilities, nurses, parents, and service providers.
