Transition Implementation Partnership Policy & Practice

A number of issues affect parents with IDD. The TIP is creating a series of eight policy and practice guides to assist systems serving parents with IDD to review, adapt or develop new policies and practices that support parents in the areas of:

• Self-Determination
• Supported Decision-Making
• Health Literacy
• Self-Disclosure of Disability Status
• Literacy
• Augmentative Alternative Communication
• Reasonable Accommodations
• Languages Other than English
